The Importance of a Cosmic Security Policy for the Mankind's Future Security \nl{}

Abstract:

Diplomová práce přibližuje kosmickou bezpečnostní politiku; jejím cílem je vystihnout důležitost kosmické bezpečnostní politiky pro budoucnost bezpečnosti lidstva. \nl{} V teoretické části je nejprve kosmická bezpečností politika definována. Dále je uvedeno, jakým způsobem je zakotvena v právních úpravách a je představen index vesmírné bezpečnosti. Následující kapitola se věnuje kosmické bezpečnostní politice v rámci České republiky, popisuje smlouvy ratifikované ČR a také přibližuje financování kosmických programů. \nl{} Dále práce ukazuje bezpečnostní využití kosmu z hlediska bezpečnosti lidstva. Jedná se hlavně o využití navigačního systému Galileo a o program Globální monitoring životního prostředí a bezpečnosti. V poslední kapitole teoretické části je práce zaměřena na futuristické vize týkající se nebezpečí, které lidstvu v budoucnu z vesmíru hrozí. Součástí jsou také futuristická řešení záchrany planety Země v daleké budoucnosti. \nl{} Praktická část je zaměřena na simulace dopadů meteoritů na Zemi a popis následků, které by událost tohoto typu měla. Praktická část čtenáři fakticky přibližuje důležitost kosmické bezpečnostní politiky, protože konkrétně ukazuje katastrofické následky dopadu daných těles. \nl{}

Abstract:

The thesis describes space security policy; its aim is to show the importance of the space security policy for the mankind?s future security. \nl{} In the theoretical part I define the space security policy, describe the legal bases and I introduce Space Security Index. The next chapter focuses on space security policy in the Czech Republic, describes contracts ratified by the Czech Republic as well as the funding of space programs. \nl{} The thesis also demonstrates the use of space for the mankind?s future security. This part is mainly about the navigation system Galileo and Global Monitoring for Environment and Security. \nl{} The last chapter of the theoretical part is focused on futuristic visions of danger which will threaten mankind in the future. I also describe the futuristic solutions how to save the Earth. \nl{} In the practical part there are simulations of meteorite impacts and a description of the consequences. This part shows the importance of space security policy. \nl{}
