A talented student with a hearing defect – a reality or a myth?

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá sluchově postiženým dítětem a jeho případným nadáním, vymezuje problematiku sluchového postižení, ukazuje nám možnosti komunikace sluchově postižených – český znakový jazyk, totální komunikace, bilingvální komunikace a orální komunikace. Vymezuje také pojem „nadané dítě“, charakterizuje nadané dítě, ukazuje možnosti práce s nadanými dětmi, a také poukazuje na možné problémy asociované s charakteristickými pozitivními vlastnostmi nadaných. V neposlední řadě se analyzuje v práci sluchově postižený žák a jeho případné nadání.

Abstract:

This Bachelor’s Thesis deals with the hearing-impaired child and their possible talents. It also defines the concept of hearing impairment and it shows us the possibilities of communication among the hearing-impaired – the Czech sing language, total communication, bilingual communication, and oral communication. The concept of the talented child is also defined along with their main characteristics and the possibilities of working with them. Some problems connected with the typical positive qualities of talented children are also addressed. This Thesis also analyses the hearing-impaired pupil and their possible talents.
