Employee motivation to the learning of the foreign languages – in the kontext of the german company with the placement in the Czech republic

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce „Motivace zaměstnanců ke studiu cizích jazyků v prostředí německé firmy sídlící v České republice“ pojednává o problematice oblasti vzdělávání dospělých a jeho aktuální podobě v konkrétním firemním prostředí. Toto firemní prostředí představuje skupina interních jazykových kurzů, které probíhají v německé firmě působící v České republice. Teoretická část práce se zaměřuje na poznatky z oblastí psychologie, pedagogiky, didaktiky profesního, firemního i cizojazyčného vzdělávání a současných trendů a aspektů z oblastí řízení managementu a lidských zdrojů. Hlavní tematickou linku práce tvoří vzdělávání dospělých, vzdělávání dospělých v oblasti cizích jazyků a především samotný proces motivace ve vztahu ke vzdělávání se cizím jazykům. Vedlejší resp. druhotnou tematickou linku tvoří interní jazykové kurzy a jejich bližší specifikace. Účastníci těchto kurzů se stali respondenty pro výzkum kvalitativního charakteru, jehož hlavním cílem bylo získání reálných údajů o procesu motivace v daném firemním prostředí, jejich následná analýza a srovnání s tezemi uvedenými v teoretické části práce. Druhotný cíl práce představuje zjištění spokojenosti účastníků jazykových kurzů s jejich formou, strukturou a vedením za účelem případné optimalizace. Závěr bakalářské práce obsahuje shrnutí nejdůležitějších zjištění a doporučení vztahujících se k interním jazykovým kurzům.

Abstract:

The bachelor thesis “Motivation of employees to study foreign languages in the environment of a German company based in the Czech Republic” deals with the topic of tertiary education and its current state in real conditions in the particular firm. The company environment is presented by a set of in-company language courses running in the German firm based in the Czech Republic. The theoretical part focuses at findings from the fields of psychology, pedagogy, methodology of professional, in-company and foreign language education and current trends and aspects in the area of company and human resources management. The main topic line of the thesis is adult education, adult education in the field of foreign languages, and especially the very process of motivation in relation to foreign languages learning. The sideline, respectively the secondary line, consists of in-company language courses and their detailed specification. The participants of these courses became the respondents of the quality survey which provided real data about motivation process in the given company environment. The data were later analyzed and compared with the principles presented in the theoretical part of the thesis. The secondary objective is to find out the level of satisfaction of language courses’ participants with the format, structure and conduct in order to reach possible improvement. The conclusion of the thesis contains the summary of the most significant findings and recommendations with respect to in-company language courses.
