Analysis of the security situation in Pardubice town

Abstract:

Práce je věnována bezpečnostní situaci města Pardubice. Zabývá se obecnou problematikou bezpečnosti s akcentem na bezpečnost ve městě. V práci je přiblížena obecná charakteristika Pardubic a popis města z hlediska geografického, demografického a z hlediska cestovního ruchu. Součástí práce je popis institucí zajišťující bezpečnost ve městě. V práci dále bude provedena analýza trestných činů dle četnosti jejich výskytu na území Pardubic pomocí binárního porovnávání. Součástí práce je dotazníkové šetření, které zjišťovalo pocit bezpečí obyvatel při pohybu v Pardubicích. V práci budou provedeny komparace a bude ověřována hypotéza, zda se pocit ohrožení mezi obyvateli Pardubic v jednotlivých městských obvodech statisticky významně neliší. V závěru práce jsou uvedeny výsledky dotazníkového šetření a z nich vyplývající návrhy a doporučení.

Abstract:

Master thesis focuses on the safety situation in the city of Pardubice. It deals with general issues of safety and specialises on security in the city. It also approaches general characteristics of Pardubice and its description, in terms of geographic, demographic and tourism. Part of this thesis concentrates on institutions providing the safety of this city. Furthemore, it contains analysis of crimes according to its frequency in the area of Pardubice via using binary comparison. This master thesis includes a questionnaire survey examining the attitude to safety of Pardubice's inhabitants. Comparisons are about to be made. The hypothesis proves whether feelings of threats in between the Pardubice's citizens of the individual parts of the city statistically change or otherwise. The comparison and hypothesis are about to be used. In conclusion of this master thesis, results of the questionnaire survey, its proposals and recommendations can be found.
