Data recording from enzyme biosensor using the Raspberry Pi system

Abstract:

V dnešní době probíhá spousta biochemických experimentů. Biochemické experimenty musí být měřeny a analyzovány, aby se zjistilo, co se stalo. Jedním ze způsobů je měření experimentu pomocí biosenzoru. Biosenzor je zařízení určené k měření konkrétní biochemické látky nebo reakce. Měření lze provést chronoamperometrií. Data z měření je nutné vizualizovat a uložit. V této diplomové práci byly enzymy imobilizovány na elektrodě a byl měřen signál z enzymatické reakce. Data z biosenzoru byla přenášena přes USB nebo přes internet do aplikace. Aplikace byla implementována v programovacím jazyce Python s využitím mikrowebového frameworku Flask. Aplikace běžela na počítači Raspberry Pi. Data byla živě vynesena do grafu a uložena do databáze. Uživatel mohl vidět živé vykreslování naměřených hodnot z biosenzorů na webové stránce a nemusel být na místě měření.

Abstract:

There are a lot of biochemical experiments going on nowadays. The biochemical experiments must be measured and analyzed to see what happened. One of the ways is to measure the experiment with a biosensor. The biosensor is a device designated to measure a particular biochemical substance or reaction. The measurement can be done by chronoamperometry. The data from the measurement must be visualized and saved. In this master's thesis, enzymes were immobilized on the electrode, and a signal from an enzymatic reaction was measured. The data from the biosensor were transmitted via USB or over the internet to the application. The application was implemented in the programming language Python using a micro web framework called Flask. The application was running on the computer Raspberry Pi. The data were plotted live on a graph and saved to the database. A user could see live plotting of measured values from biosensors on a web page, and he did not have to be on the measurement site.
