Cross - selling, its use and importance for insurance company

Abstract:

Předkládaná práce se zabývá problematikou aplikování metody cross-selling v distribuční sítí pojistitele a jeho přínosu pro pojišťovny. V první částí vychází z vymezení teoretických východisek, definici pojmu cross-selling a zjišťování, jaká je vůbec celková gramotnost českého národa v oblasti pojišťovnictví. Podstatná část práce je zaměřená na širokou distribuční síť spolupracující s Českou podnikatelskou pojišťovnou, a.s., která využívá k získání nových a stávajících klientů různé marketingové metody související s aplikováním cross-selling v této oblasti. Závěr práce přináší soubor poznatků získaných především dlouholetou spolupráci s vybranými externími partnery zabývajícími se prodejem motorových vozidel. Tyto subjekty spolupracují s většinou pojišťoven a uplatňují metodu cross-selling jednak při samotném prodeji vozidla a též při následném sjednávaní pojištění. Práce přináší především doporučení, jak efektivněji pracovat s externími partnery v oblasti motorových vozidel. Z dlouhodobého hlediska prodejci vytváří hodnotnou databázi klientů, s kterou se již dále u pojistitelů nepracuje. Právě následné oslovení klientů v průběhu trvání pojistné smlouvy a uplatnění metody cross-selling by mělo přinést lepší výsledky v propojištěnosti databáze a čelit tak neustálému tlaku konkurence na pojistném trhu.

Abstract:

Submitted dissertation deals with application of cross-selling method in an insurer distribution network and its contribution for insurance groups. First part comes out from determination of theoretic themes, from definition of cross-selling conception and investigation of overall literacy of czech nationality in the insurance area. Essential part of this dissertation is focused on wide distribution network cooperating with Česká podnikatelská pojišťovna, a.s. which uses various marketing methods that relate with the application of cross-selling in this area to gain new and existing clients. The end of this dissertation brings a set of findings mainly obtained from long-term cooperation with selected external partners who are dealing with motor vehicle selling. These subjects cooperate with most of insurance groups and apply cross-selling method by motor vehicle selling intself and also by following insurance arrangement. Dissertation brings mainly recommendations how to work more efficient with external partners in motor vehicle area. From long term point of view sellers establish valuable database of clients which is not used by insurers any more. Just the following addressing of clients during term of insurance contract and use of cross-selling method should bring better results in insurance database and face a continual pressure from competitors in the insurance market.
