Perspective trees for use in urban greenery

Abstract:

Stromy v městském prostředí jsou ovlivněny velkým počtem stresových faktorů. Na každém funkčním typu městské zeleně působí tyto faktory v jiné kombinaci či intenzitě. A také různé taxony jsou proti takové kombinaci jinak odolné. V této práci bylo tedy zkoumáno, jaké taxony jsou schopny odolat stresovému prostředí města, přičemž pozornost byla směřována i na ty nejextrémnější městské plochy jako jsou ulice či náměstí. Tyto informace byly v první části získávány z odborné literatury, avšak také byl proveden vlastní výzkum v podmínkách města Brna. Informace z obou částí byly nakonec porovnány, aby vznikl co nejkomplexnější obraz vhodnosti rozebíraných taxonů. Díky tomu bude snazší najít vhodný strom do městské zeleně, a to i do funkčních typů s extrémními podmínkami.

Abstract:

Trees in urban environments are affected by many stress factors. These factors work in a different combination or intensity on each type of urban green spaces. Also, different taxa are otherwise resistant to such a combination. In this work, therefore, it was examined which taxa can withstand the stressful environment of the city, with attention was focused on even the most extreme urban areas such as streets or squares. This information was obtained in the first part from the scientific literature, but also my own research was carried out in the conditions of the city of Brno. The information from these two parts was finally compared to give possible the most comprehensive picture of the suitability of the taxa discussed. This will make it easier to find a suitable tree for urban greenery, even for the types of urban green space with extreme conditions.
