Comparison of employee adaptation within a for-profit and non-profit organization

Abstract:

Diplomová práce je zaměřena na adaptaci pracovníků. Jejím cílem je analyzovat, porovnat a následně zhodnotit proces adaptace, jeho průběh, náležitosti a možnosti poskytované novým zaměstnancům, a to ve dvou odlišných organizacích – ziskové organizaci Robert Bosch, spol. s r.o. a neziskové organizaci UNICEF. Teoretická část práce je zaměřena na rešerši základní problematiky, adaptaci jako pojem a její důležitost. Dále mimo jiné uvádí také formy, strukturu, průběh, nástroje, a zmiňuje také adaptační plány. Následuje praktická část, kde jsou uvedeny konkrétní výzkumné metody, jež byly i přes svá omezení zvoleny, tedy studium dokumentů, interview a dotazníkové šetření. Z výsledků uskutečněného výzkumu jsou pak vyvozeny odpovídající závěry a případné návrhy na možná doporučení, jež by pomohla ke zlepšení současného stavu a nastavení adaptace v organizacích.

Abstract:

The diploma thesis is focused on the adaptation of employees. The goal is to analyze, compare, and subsequently evaluate the process of adaptation, its course, requirements, and opportunities provided to new employees, in two different organizations – the profit organization Robert Bosch, spol. s.r.o., and the non-profit organization UNICEF. The theoretical part of the thesis is focused on the research of the basic issue, adaptation as a concept and its importance. Furthermore, among other things, it also contains forms, structure, progress, tools, and mentions adaptation plans. The practical part follows, where are presented specific research methods, which were chosen despite of their limitations, i.e. the study of documents, interviews and questionnaire surveys. From the results of the conducted research, corresponding conclusions and possible suggestions for possible recommendations are drawn, which would help to improve the current state and the adaptation settings in organizations.
