Modern Methods of Internal and Risk Management in Business Practice

Abstract:

Podnikatelské prostředí se neustále mění, a proto řízení podniků čelí řadě rizik a hrozeb. Úspěšně s nimi pracovat napomáhají podnikům disciplíny řízení rizik a interní audit. Zatímco řízení rizik nabízí systematický přístup, jak vůči nejistotám a rizikům postupovat, interní audit přináší metodický přístup k hodnocení a zlepšování procesů se zaměřením na přidanou hodnotu. Diplomová práce je zaměřena na moderní metody těchto disciplín. Cílem práce je na základě literární rešerše oborových teorií provedení interního auditu, který ověří vybraná rizika podniku a nabídne praktickou nápravu odhalených zjištění. Na teoretickou část proto navazuje auditní šetření. V rámci něj byly využity metody prostého náhodného výběru vzorků a řízené rozhovory. Ze závěrečných zjištění vyplývají doporučení vedoucí k eliminaci či snížení identifikovaných rizik. Výsledky auditu dokládají důležitost obou disciplín pro úspěšné řízení podniků a potřebu sledovat jejich nejnovější metody a postupy.

Abstract:

Business environment is constantly changing and therefore business management faces numerous risks and threats. In order to successfully manage them, disciplines of risk management and internal audit come as helpful. While risk management offers sestematic approach towards uncertainties and risks, internal audit provides methodical approach for evaluation and improvement of processes with emphasis on additional value added. Diploma thesis is focused on modern methods of these disciplines. The aim of this thesis is to perform an internal audit, based upon a literary research, which verifies specific activities of the chosen company and offers practical remedy of the detections. Theoretical part is therefore followed by internal audit. Methods of testing sample of random data and structured interview were used when perfoming the audit. Based upon the findings, recommandations leading to elimination or reduction of the identified risks are presented. The audit findings document the importance of both disciplines for business management and the need to track their newest methods and procedures.
