Hedge accounting in non-financial corporations

Abstract:

Cílem této bakalářské práce je zjistit míru využívání zajišťovacího účetnictví nefinančními podniky na stanoveném vzorku společností, které vykazují dle Mezinárodních standardů účetního výkaznictví. První část práce je čistě teoretická, jsou zde definovány základní pojmy týkající se zajišťovacího účetnictví. Praktická část je zaměřená na analýzu vzorku nefinančních společností, jejichž tituly jsou obchodovány na Burze cenných papírů v Praze a ve Vídni. Analýza vzorku společností se zaměřuje na způsob a míru využití zajišťovacího účetnictví, typy rizik a typy používaných derivátů nefinančními podniky.

Abstract:

The main objective of this bachelor thesis is to determine the extent of hedge accounting use by non-financial corporations in a specified sample of companies reporting under International Financial Reporting Standards. The first part of the thesis is purely theoretical, the basic concepts related to hedge accounting are defined. The practical part focuses on the analysis of a sample of non-financial companies whose titles are traded on the Prague and Vienna Stock Exchanges. The analysis of the sample of companies focuses on the manner and extent of the use of hedge accounting, the types of risks and the types of derivatives used by non-financial corporations.
