Intergenerational learning between mother and daughter, and parenting style in the family

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se zabývá problematikou mezigeneračního učení mezi matkou a dcerou a výchovného stylu matky. Sleduje faktory, které by mohly mezigenerační učení v rodině ovlivňovat. Teoretická část je rozčleněna na dvě části - rodina a učení. V prvním okruhu je rodina vymezena jako pojem včetně jejich funkcí, jejichž plnění je základním předpokladem pro pozitivní atmosféru rodiny a kladné vztahy, které implikují mezigenerační učení v rodině. Dále je v práci popsána měnící se generační strukturu rodiny, jež přímo působí na předávání informací v rodině. Druhá část je věnována problematice učení, konkrétně mezigeneračního učení v rodině, které je zasazeno do konceptu celoživotního učení. Jádrem diplomové práce je empirická část, kde je popsán metodologický postup a výsledky výzkumného šetření, které bylo realizováno prostřednictvím rozhovorů s dcerami ve věkovém rozmezí 20-30 let a jejich matkami. Záměrem výzkumu je odpovědět na otázky: Jaký význam má pro matky a jejich dcery vzájemné mezigenerační učení? Zda a jak se výchovný styl matky promítá do mezigeneračního učení mezi matkou a dcerou?

Abstract:

This thesis deals with intergenerational learning between mother and daughter, mother and hers educational style. It monitors factors which could effect intergenerational family learning. The theoretical part is divided into two parts - family and learning. The family is defined as a concept with its own functions in first chapter. The function observance is basic assumption for positive family atmosphere and relationships which imply intergenerational family learning. There is also described the changing structure of the family generation, which directly affects the transmission of information in the family. The second chapter is dedicated to the learning, namely intergenerational family learning put in the concept of lifelong learning. The core of thesis is empirical part describing methodology and the results of survey. It was conducted through interviews with daughters between 20-30 years and their mothers. The aim of research is to answer these questions: How important is mutual intergenerational learning for mothers and their daughters? If and how the mother's parenting style is reflected in intergenerational learning between mother and daughter?
