Non-adiabatic dynamics of photoexcited clusters

Abstract:

Práce se zabývá metodami kvantové mechaniky a studiem procesů doprovázejících fotodisociaci iontového klastru Ar5+. Cílem práce je detailně prostudovat a analyzovat fotodisociační mechanizmy v oblasti hlavního absorpčního pásu Ar5+ semiklasickou metodou ?hemiquantal dynamics with whole DIM basis? (HWD), analyzovat význam dekoherenčních mechanizmů v těchto procesech metodou HWD se zahrnutím dekoherenčních procesů prostřednictvím stochastického kolapsu elektronické vlnové funkce (HWDq) a provést komplexní porovnání získaných výsledků s dostupnými experimentálními daty. S využitím interakčních modelů (DIM ? diatomics-in-molecule, DIM+SO ? DIM se spinorbitální interakcí, DIM+SO+ID-ID ? DIM+SO se zahrnutou interakcí indukovaný dipól-indukovaný dipól) bylo vypočítáno fotoabsorpční spektrum Ar5+ a byla provedena simulace fotodisociace Ar5+ v rozsahu fotonových energií hlavního absorpčního pásu pro vybrané počáteční teploty klastru. Bylo studováno zastoupení jednotlivých fragmentačních kanálů a fragmentů a modelovány distribuce kinetické, rotační a vibrační energie fragmentů. V absorpčním spektru byly identifikovány čtyři absorpční pásy, z nichž nejvýraznější byl pás ve viditelné oblasti elektromagnetického spektra. Pro různé interakční modely se teoretická absorpční spektra příliš nelišila, rovněž závislost na teplotě nebyla dramatická. Nejčastěji pozorovaným fragmentačním kanálem byl rozpad na iontový dimer a tři neutrální monomery (Ar2++3Ar), dále pak kanály produkující Ar3++2Ar a Ar++4Ar. Kanály Ar2++Ar2+Ar a Ar4++Ar se při rozpadu téměř nevyskytovaly. Získána byla i poměrná zastoupení iontových fragmentů Ar+, Ar2+a Ar3+. Pro Ar+ a Ar2+ mohly být teoretické výsledky porovnány s experimentálními daty a bylo zjištěno, že naše výsledky odpovídají hodnotám experimentálním s uspokojivou přesností. Byl zaznamenán nesouhlas teorie a experimentu za oblastí s fotonovou energií 2.35 eV.

Abstract:

Quantum mechanics methods and processes of photodissociation ionic cluster Ar5+ are presented in this work. A detailed study and an analysis of mechanisms of the photodissociation in the main absorption band of Ar5+ using hemiquantal dynamics with whole DIM basis (HWD) and hemiquantal dynamics with whole DIM basis and quenchings (HWDq) methods are the main focus of this work. Results are compared with experimental data. In addition, photoabsorption spectrum has been calculated for diatomics-in-molecule (DIM), DIM with spinorbit coupling (DIM+SO) and DIM+SO with induced dipole-induced dipole coupling (DIM+SO+ID+ID) models. Simulations of the photodissociation of Ar5+ have been done for photon energies of the main absorption band and for selected values of temperature. Branching ratios for channels of fragmentation and abundances of fragments have been examined and distributions of the translation, rotation, and vibration energies of fragments have been calculated. Four bands have been identified in the absorption spectrum. The most pronounced one is the band in the visible region of the electromagnetic spectrum. Fragmentation channel Ar2++3Ar has been observed as the most abundant one followed by channels Ar3++2Ar and Ar++4Ar. Abundances of two remaining channels, Ar2++Ar2+Ar and Ar4++Ar, have been negligible. Further, abundances of ionic fragments, Ar+, Ar2+ and Ar3+, have been calculated and compared with available experimental data. Agreement between our theoretical data and the experiment has been found.
