Dance movement therapy for people with physical disabilities

Abstract:

Diplomová práce je zaměřena na samostatnou charakteristiku a historii taneční a pohybové terapie. Tato práce byla určena pro tělesně postižené jedince, a proto jsem v další kapitole považovala za vhodné uvést klasifikaci osob s tímto postižením. Zajímalo mě, jaké mají tělesně postižení lidé možnosti kompenzace, a proto jsem se v další kapitole zaměřila na to, jak si mají tito lidé správně vybírat své kompenzační pomůcky, aby opravdu sloužili tak, jak by měly. V další části diplomové práce jsem představila vybrané taneční techniky a uvedla, jak by mohly vypadat ukázkové lekce pro 10 vozíčkářů. Uvedené ukázkové lekce jsem vytvořila na základě poznatků z dostupné odborné literatury, které jsme propojila s vlastními znalostmi tance. Téma své diplomové práce "Taneční a pohybová terapie osob s tělesným postižením" jsem zvolila za účelem zjištění, zda má tato činnost pozitivní vliv na tělesně postižené. Vytvořila jsem dotazníky, které jsem následně rozeslala organizacím zabývající se TT. Dále mě zajímalo, jaká z technik je nejvíce využívaná. Z výsledků dotazníků se potvrdily obě dvě stanovené hypotézy. A to, že TT má pozitivní vliv na motoriku, emocionální procesy, sociální dovednosti a sebepojetí tělesně postižených. Dále se potvrdilo, že v taneční terapii je nejvíce využívaná Labanova analýza pohybu a také primitivní exprese. Na závěr jsem v diplomové práci charakterizovala vybrané parasporty a uvedla řízené rozhovory s představiteli daného parasportu. Kromě informací o své osobě a také během rozhovoru potvrdili pozitivní vliv tance na tělesně postižené jedince.

Abstract:

The diploma thesis is focused on the individual characteristics and history of dance and movement therapy. This work was intended for disabled people and therefore I considered it appropriate in the next chapter to classify people with this disability. I wondered how people with disabilities have the opportunity to be compensated, and so in the next chapter I looked at how these people should properly choose their compensation aids to really serve as they should. In the next part of my diploma thesis I presented selected dance techniques and stated how demonstration lessons for 10 wheelchair users could look like. I have created these sample lessons based on the knowledge of the available literature that we have linked to our own dance knowledge. The topic of my thesis "Dance and Physical Therapy of Physically Disabled People" I chose to see if this activity has a positive effect on physically disabled people. I created questionnaires that I sent to TT organizations. I was wondering which of the techniques is most used. The two hypotheses were confirmed by the results of the questionnaires. And that TT has a positive impact on motor, emotional processes, social skills and the self-conception of physically handicapped. It was further confirmed that in dance therapy the most used Laban analysis of motion and also primitive expression. Finally, in the diploma thesis I characterized selected parasports and introduced controlled interviews with the representatives of the given parasport. In addition to information about their person and also during the interview, they confirmed the positive impact of dancing on physically handicapped individuals.
