Machiavelismus, širokou veřejností chápán často spíše v politologickém či filosofickém kontextu, si získává na poli psychologie stále větší ohlas, teprve pozvolna se však prosazuje i na území České republiky. Teoretická část práce se věnuje shrnutí některých dosavadních výzkumů machiavelismu a machiavelistické osobnosti a uvažuje nad souvislostmi mezi jí a dalšími dimenzemi osobnosti.
