Reflection of fascism in the weekly journal Přítomnost between 1924-1938

Abstract:

Tato práce sledovala jak, a zda se vůbec nějak měnil názor autorů Přítomnosti na fašismus, a jak jej tedy vnímali autoři týdeníku Přítomnost v období ohraničeném lety 1924 až 1938. V první části jsem popsal co je to fašismus a jeho aspekty, poté jsem popsal vývoj fašistické Itálie, Německa a Španělska. Posléze jsem uvedl něco o týdeníku Přítomnost a jeho hlavní osobnost – Ferdinanda Peroutku. V druhé části jsem se zabýval tím, jak autoři Přítomnosti posuzovali fašismus ve třech časových celcích. Tyto časové celky byly ohraničeny lety 1924 - 1929, 1930 – 1933 a 1934 – 1938. Výsledek přinesl celkový obraz, jak autoři fašismus chápali a posuzovali.

Abstract:

This work observed how and if ever there was a change in opinion of authors of Přítomnost on fascism and how the authors of Přítomnost percieved it in period of 1924 to 1938. In the first part I described what fascism is and what its aspects are, then I described development of fascist Italy, Germany and Spain. Then I introduced weekly journal Přítomnost and its main personality – Ferdinand Peroutka. In the second part I focused on the way how authors of Přítomnost assessed fascism in three time periods. These time periods were bounded by years 1924 - 1929, 1930 – 1933 and 1934 – 1938. The result brought an overall picture how the authors understood and assessed fascism.
