The activation of seniors with the form of education

Abstract:

Předkládaná bakalářská práce se zabývá Aktivizací seniorů formou edukace. Práce má teoreticko - empirický charakter. Teoretická část práce se zaměřuje na obecné poznatky o demografickém i individuálním stárnutí a stáří, představuje nejen vybrané fyzické psychické či sociální změny, se kterými se senioři ve svém životě setkávají, ale zmiňuje i různé způsoby adaptace na stáří. Práce hovoří o současném postavení seniorů v české společnosti a otevírá například otázku ageismu. Ve své teoretické části však daná práce nastiňuje i možnosti vzdělávání seniorů a jejich specifické potřeby v dané oblasti. V závěru teoretické části práce jsou pak představeny vybrané edukační aktivity pro seniory. Empirická část dané práce je věnována průzkumnému šetření, které bylo realizováno v rámci přípravy této práce. Hlavním cílem průzkumu bylo zjistit, zda mají senioři zájem se i po ukončení stávajícího edukačního programu nadále vzdělávat. Dílčí průzkumné cíle potom zjišťují, na základě jakého popudu se senioři pro studium rozhodli, o jaké edukační témata mají největší zájem nebo zda mají potřebu dát nějaká doporučení pro edukaci. Průzkumné šetření má integrovaný design a je rozděleno do dvou fází. V prvé kvantitativní fázi byl sběr průzkumných dat zajištěn metodou dotazníkového šetření. Předmětná data byla analyzována na úrovni absolutních a relativních četností a budou představena formou tabulek, deskripce či grafů. Ve druhé, kvalitativní fázi byla průzkumná data zajištěna metodou polostrukturovaných rozhovorů a metodou případové studie. Data z dané fáze průzkumného šetření byla analyzována interpretativní fenomenologickou analýzou (IPA). Tento typ analýzy umožňuje průzkumníkovi nahlédnout na téma vzdělávání seniorů očima jeho frekventantů. Témata zvolená na základě uvedené analýzy budou představena formou tabulky a budou legitimizována výpověďmi respondentů. Ty mají v práci podobu textu psaného kurzívou. Předmětná témata budou představena narativní cestou a budou dále diskutována s daty obecně uznávanými. V závěru práce nabídne studentka a průzkumník v jedné osobě svou reflexi průzkumného šetření i doporučení pro edukační praxi.

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis deals with Activation of seniors through education. Work has a theoretical - empirical character. The theoretical part deals with general knowledge about demographic and individual aging and old age, represents not only selected physical mental or social changes that the senior encounters in his life but mentions different ways of adaptation. The thesis also mentions the current position of seniors in Czech society and also opens the question of ageism. In its theoretical part, however, the thesis outlines the possibilities and education of seniors and their specific needs in the area. At the end of the theoretical part of the thesis, selected educational activities for seniors are introduced. The empirical part of the thesis is devoted to the exploratory survey that was carried out as part of this work. The main goal of the survey is to find out whether seniors are interested continue to be educated even after the end of the educational program. Sub-exploratory goals then find out what kind of impulse the seniors have decided to study, what educational topics they are most interested in, or whether they are interested in giving some recommendations for education. The exploratory survey has integrated research design and is divided into two phases. In the first quantitative phase, the survey data collection will be ensured by a questionnaire survey. The data will be analyzed at absolute and relative frequencies and will be presented in tables, descriptions or graphs. In the second, qualitative phase, the exploratory data will be collected using the semi-structured interview method and the case study method. Data from a given survey phase will be analyzed by Interpretative Phenomenological Analysis (IPA). This type of analysis allows the explorer to look at the topic of senior education through the eyes of its participants. Topics selected based on this analysis, they will be presented in a table and will be legitimized by respondents' statements. They have a text in italics. The topics in question will be presented in a narrative way and will be further discussed with generally accepted data. In the conclusion, the student and explorer will offer one reflection of the exploratory survey as well as recommendations for educational practice.
