Financial and marketing aspect of International theatre festival Setkání-Stretnutie

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce je zaměřena na Mezinárodní divadelní festival Setkání-Stretnutie, který patří k nejvýznamnějším kulturním událostem Zlínského kraje. Cílem práce je představit tento divadelní festival, analyzovat jeho finanční a marketingovou stránku a zhodnotit přínos ke kulturnímu dění nejen ve Zlínském kraji, ale také v rámci české divadelní festivalové scény. V teoretické části je definován pojem festival, potažmo divadelní festival a jeho stručná historie, zároveň je zde uveden přehled významných současných mezinárodních divadelních festivalů v ČR. Následují kapitoly o financování kultury a marketingu, nezbytné pro praktickou část práce. V praktické části je pak představen Mezinárodní divadelní festival Setkání-Stretnutie, popsán jeho vznik a historie, dramaturgická koncepce a účastníci přehlídky. V další části je analyzována finanční a marketingová stránka této kulturní události. Následuje hodnocení marketingu divadelního festivalu a jsou navržena řešení ke zkvalitnění dané oblasti. Závěrečná kapitola je věnována zhodnocení významu a přínosu festivalu Setkání-Stretnutie pro Zlínský kraj a českou divadelní scénu.

Abstract:

The bachelor thesis focuses on the International theatre festival Setkání-Stretnutie (Encounter), one of the most important cultural events of the Zlín region. The aim of this paper is to present theatre festival, analyze its financial and marketing aspect and evaluate its contribution to the cultural life not only in the Zlin region, but also in the Czech theatre festival scene. The theoretical part defines the concept of the festival and the notion of a theatre festival, describes its brief history and lists the most important international theatre festivals organized in the Czech Republic. The following chapters deal with cultural events from perspective of finance and marketing. The practical part then introduces International theatre festival Setkání-Stretnutie, describes its origin and history, dramaturgical concept and its participants. It also analyzes the financial and marketing aspects of this cultural event. Based on marketing review, solutions of improving this area are suggested. The final chapter is devoted to evaluation of the importance and benefits of the festival Setkání-Stretnutie for the Zlin region and Czech theatre scene.
