Poor Children: yearbook of the Charitable Committee in Brno 1892-1948

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce si klade za cíl uskutečnit obsahovou interpretaci ročenky Chudým dětem, kterou na přelomu 19. a 20. století vydával Dobročinný komitét dam v Brně. Bakalářská práce bude zpracována v širším kontextu ženského emancipačního hnutí na Moravě a jeho dobročinné činnosti směřované k sociální politice k dětem. Z daného periodika bude poskytnuta reflexe dobových sociálních a kulturních témat, bude poskytnut celkový pohled na témata vydávaná v období před rokem 1918 a v meziválečných letech, která byla zaměřena na děti a mládež, a zdali došlo ke změně v průběhu let. Zkoumán bude genderový podíl autorů a jejich tematická orientace. Pozornost bude také věnována vizuální stránce periodika. Práce si klade za cíl poznat jednu z rovin činnosti ženského dobročinného spolku v kontextu dějin emancipace žen na poli sociální práce.

Abstract:

The bachelor thesis deals with the interpretation of the periodical Charitable Committee of Ladies in the Czech Lands. Through the fond dedicated to this periodical, I capture the development of the women's association from beginning (1885) to the end of the association's existence (1956). I focus on the association and charity of women from the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries. With the help of period sources from the local press, I monitor cultural and social conditions. An overview of the topics in the published texts, which were focused on children and young people, and whether there has been a change over the years.
