Role of the Muslim Brotherhood of Syria in the present Syrian civil war
Abstract:
Práce se věnuje syrskému Muslimskému bratrstvu v souvislosti se současným konfliktem v Sýrii. Bratrstvo zanechalo významnou stopu v moderních dějinách země, ale po masakru ve městě Hamá v roce 1982 zažilo silnou perzekuci ze strany vládnoucího uskupení Baas. Syrská revoluce znamená jeho pokus o návrat do politiky. Práce se proto jako případová studie zaměřuje na jeho působení ve válce.
Abstract:
This bachelor thesis deals with the Syrian branch of the Muslim Brotherhood in a context of the present conflict in Syria. The Brotherhood had been a very significant actor in the country’s modern history, however, after the Hama massacre in 1982 it experienced a strict persecution led by the ruling Ba’ath Party.
