Abstract:

Lidskou existenci charakterizovaly změny a otázky týkající se životní úrovně, porodnosti (zvyšující se porodnosti) a vysoké míry úmrtnosti. Cílem této práce bylo identifikovat vztah, který existuje mezi industrializací, hospodářským růstem a zdravotním stavem. Studie byla provedena na základě potřeby identifikovat vliv industrializace na zdravotní stav v zemi a na to, jak také ovlivňuje hospodářský růst země. Specifickým cílem práce bylo určit vztah mezi industrializací, hospodářským růstem a zdravotním stavem v Ghaně a dále identifikovat dopad otřesů na vztah mezi industrializací, hospodářským růstem a zdravotním stavem v Ghaně. Zjištění ukázala, že mezi industrializací a hospodářským růstem existuje z dlouhodobého hlediska pozitivní vztah. Výsledky VECM ukazují, že existuje pozitivní vztah mezi očekávanou průměrnou délkou života a tempem růstu HDP i zemědělským odvětvím. Poznatky této studie potvrzují model Prestonovy křivky tím, že získávají pozitivní vztah mezi tempem růstu HDP a očekávanou délkou života. Impulzní charakteristika ukazuje, že tempo růstu HDP nevykazuje pokračující změnu směrem nahoru nebo dolů, když dojde k otřesu v průměrném věku dožití. Na základě doporučení studie musí vláda zajistit, aby si tři sektory hospodářství vedly dobře, a investovat do lepších systémů zdravotní péče a dalších infrastruktur, které zlepšují zdravotnický systém v zemi, protože špatný zdravotní stav povede k poklesu tempa růstu HDP.

Abstract:

Changes and issues surrounding standards of living, fertility rates (increasing fertility rate) and high levels of mortality have characterized human existence. The research aimed to identify the association that exist amongst industrialization, Economic Growth (EG) and health status. The study was conducted based on the need to identify the effect industrialization has on the health status of the country and how it also affects the economic growth of the country. The definite objectives of the research were to identify the association between industrialization, economic growth, and health status in Ghana and secondly to identify the effect of shocks on the relationship between industrialization, Economic Growth (EG) and health status in Ghana. The findings showed that there is an upward association between industrialization and EG in the long run. The VECM output showed that there is a positive association between life expectancy rate and GDP growth rate as well as agricultural sector. The findings of this study confirm the Preston Curve model by obtaining a positive relationship between GDP growth rate and life expectancy. The impulse response shows that GDP growth rate does not show an upward or downward continues change when there is a shock life expectancy rate. The research commends that government must ensure the three sectors of the economy perform well and invest in better health systems and other infrastructures that improve the health system in the country since poor health status will lead to a fall in the GDP growth rate.
