Cost optimization in a representative company

Abstract:

Tématem diplomové práce je Optimalizace nákladů ve vybraném podniku. Teoreticko-metodologická část je souborem teoretických poznatků o metodice řízení nákladů. Budou zde definovány jednotlivé druhy členění nákladů, popsány základní i specifické typy kalkulací, které bývají v podnikové praxi používány a objasněny základní pojmy, související s danou problematikou. V analytické části bude charakterizována vybraný podnik, popsáno jeho postavení na trhu a organizační struktura. Bude provedena klasifikace současných nákladů firmy, horizontální a vertikální analýza nákladů na celkové zhodnocení současného stavu řízení nákladů. V návrhové části jsou uvedeny metody, které lze využít k optimalizaci nákladů na podpůrné činnosti. Optimalizace by pro společnost měla přinést lepší hospodářské výsledky a zisk. Podpůrné činnosti mohou být prováděny interně nebo mohou být outsourcovány. Obě možnosti mají výhody a nevýhody a závisí na analýzách a rozhodnutích vedení, která z možností bude vybrána.

Abstract:

The topic of this thesis is Cost optimization in a representative company. The theoretical-metodological part is a summary of findings in methodology of costs management. It defines particular types of costs division. It also describes both basic and specific types of calculations which find their use in business practice. Basic terms connected to this field are also explained. The analytical part of this thesis characterizes the representative company, it depicts its position in market and its organizational structure. Current costs are classified, horizontal and vertical analysis of costs and analysis of current state of costs management is carried out. The proposal part shows methods which can be used for optimization costs of suppport activities. The optimization should bring better economic results and additional profit for the company. Support services can be perform in-house or they can be outsourced. Both possibilities have advantages and disadvantages and it depends on analyses and management decisions which option will be chosen.
