Abstract:

Tato práce zkoumá vztah mezi mechanismy zpětné vazby a jejich vlivem na motivaci a sebereflexi studentů anglického jazyka v českém vzdělávacím systému. S návrhem českého ministerstva školství na zásadní reformy zaměřené na zlepšení raného vzdělávání prostřednictvím zrušení tradičního hodnocení ve prospěch formativní zpětné vazby, tato práce zkoumá teoretické základy a praktické důsledky takových pedagogických strategií. S využitím teorie sebeurčení, sociálně-kognitivní teorie a teorie zásahu zpětnou vazbou výzkum formuluje pochopení toho, jak zpětná vazba ovlivňuje autonomii, kompetence a související aspekty studentů, čímž ovlivňuje motivační dynamiku v osvojování jazyka. Prostřednictvím kvalitativního výzkumného přístupu s využitím rozhovorů studie zkoumá současné praktiky zpětné vazby v hodinách angličtiny i mimo ni z pohledu vyučujících i studentů. Zjištění ukazují potenciál personalizované, konstruktivní zpětné vazby pro podporu angažovanějšího a podpůrnějšího vzdělávacího prostředí, což zdůrazňuje její klíčovou roli v podpoře jazykové způsobilosti a vzdělávacího blaha mezi českými studenty. Práce končí doporučeními pro začlenění efektivních praktik zpětné vazby nejen do výuky jazyků, s cílem optimalizovat výsledky učení a sladit je se současnými vzdělávacími reformami.

Abstract:

This thesis explores the relationship between feedback mechanisms and their impact on the motivation and self-reflection of English language learners within the Czech educational system. With the Czech Ministry of Education proposing significant reforms aimed at enhancing early education through the limitation of summative assessment and evaluation in favour of formative feedback and written comments, this thesis explores the theoretical foundations and practical implications of such pedagogical strategies. Utilising Self-Determination Theory, Social Cognitive Theory, and Feed-back Intervention Theory, the research articulates an understanding of how feedback influences learner autonomy, competence, and relatedness, thereby affecting motivational dynamics in language acquisition. Through a qualitative research approach using interviews, the study examines the current practices of feedback in the English classroom from both educators' and learners' perspectives. The findings show the potential of personalised, constructive feedback to foster a more engaging and supportive learning environment, highlighting its critical role in promoting linguistic proficiency and educational well-being among Czech students. The thesis concludes with recommendations for integrating effective feedback practices into not only language education, aimed at optimising learning outcomes and aligning with contemporary educational reforms.
