Teoretická část práce obsahuje popis anatomie rekta s jeho cévním zásobením, definici termínu kolorektální karcinom a charakteristiku karcinomu rekta po stránce epidemiologické, etiologické a histopatologické. Dále je zaměřena na příznaky, stanovení diagnózy tohoto nádoru včetně vyšetřovacích metod a klasifikaci maligních tumorů. A theoretical part comprises the description of rectum anatomy and its blood supply, definition of term colorectal carcinoma and the characteristics of rectal carcinoma from an aspect of epidemiology, etiology, and histopathology.
