Abstract:
With recent failures in modern peacekeeping operations, the United Nations must evolve to become a more effective force. In order to do so, the creation of a permanent volunteer Rapid Reaction Force must be created in order to quickly deal with those individuals or groups in the world that wish to do harm to innocent civilians

Žijeme ve světe, který byl v posledních dvou desetiletích svědkem hrozivých humanitárních katastrof. Objevily se nové výzvy, jak tato zvěrstva a utrpení nevinných lidských životů zastavit. Od založení Organizace spojených národů v roce 1945 se různé národy pokoušely zabránit genocidě a agresi vůči nevinným. Mechanismus kolektivní bezpečnosti se ne vždy prokázal jako účinný.
