Social Determinants of Health and the Way of Life in People after Stroke

Abstract:

Práce se zabývala sociálními determinantami zdraví a způsobem života osob po cévní mozkové příhodě. Diplomová práce analyzovala jejich způsob života před vznikem této nemoci a vliv sociálních determinant zdraví na kvalitu života a funkční nezávislosti. Ve výsledcích hodnocení celého souboru osob po cévní mozkové příhodě byla nalezena mezi kognitivním a motorickým skóre dle dotazníku míry funkční nezávislosti pozitivní korelace. V této práci byly přehodnocením kvality života a míry funkční nezávislosti v našem souboru zaznamenány osoby, které se pohybují na dolní hranici všech skóre. Výstupem této studie je návrh na přístup k těmto nemocným, který by měl být přísně individuální. Práce ukazuje možnosti uplatnění sociálního pedagoga nejen ve školství, ale také ve zdravotních zařízeních a navrhuje profesi sociálního pedagoga zařadit do katalogu prací.

Abstract:

Diploma thesis dealt with the social determinants of health and the way of life in person after stroke. Diploma thesis analyzed their way of life before the stroke and the impact of social determinants of health on quality of life and functional independence. In the results of the evaluation of the entire set of persons after stroke there was found positive correlation between cognitive and motor scores according to degree of functional independence questionnaire. The degree of disability of the brain determines both cognitive and motor function. In this work a reassessment of the quality of life and level of functional independence in our set recorded people who are at the lower limit of all the scores. The outcome of this study is a proposal for attitude to these patients, which should be strictly individual. The thesis suggests the profession of social pedagogue to be included not only in educational system but also in the health system into the catalogue of professions.
