Causes of removal of children from the family environment

Abstract:

Rodina je základní sociální skupinou, která má za úkol zajistit řádný vývoj a naplnění potřeb dítěte. Pokud dítě nemá zajištěný řádný vývoj a potřeby, může dojít k jistým formám ohrožení či zanedbání. Jakmile se prokáže, že dítě trpí nějakou formou ohrožení, zapojuje se do situace orgán sociálně-právní ochrany dětí, který společně s dalšími aktéry spolupracuje s rodinou. V případě, že se situaci nepodaří zajistit a dítě bude nadále v rodině strádat, je tu možnost odebrání dítěte z rodiny. Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá problematikou odebírání dětí z rodinného prostředí a následným doporučením, jak těmto situacím předcházet. Cílem práce je zjistit nejčastěji zastoupené příčiny odebrání dítěte z rodinného prostředí, jestli se těmto situacím dalo předcházet a pracovat s nimi již dříve a jakým způsobem. Informace jako je identifikace ohroženého dítěte, práce s rodinou, následné odebrání a umístění dítěte do náhradní výchovné péče, jsou získány pomocí sekundární analýzy dat spisových dokumentací poskytnutých orgánem sociálně-právní ochrany dětí. Výzkumným šetřením byly zjištěny nejčastěji zastoupené příčiny a následně bylo sestaveno doporučení, jak těmto situacím předcházet.

Abstract:

The family is the basic social group that is responsible for ensuring the proper development and fulfilment of the child's needs. If a child's development and needs are not properly provided for, certain forms of abuse or neglect may occur. Once it is proven that a child is suffering from some form of vulnerability, the child welfare authority becomes involved in the situation and works with the family, together with other actors. If the situation cannot be secured and the child continues to suffer in the family, there is the possibility of removing the child from the family. This bachelor thesis deals with the issue of removing children from the family environment and the subsequent recommendations on how to prevent these situations. The aim of the thesis, is to find out the most commonly represented causes of removal of a child from the family environment, if these situations could have been prevented and worked with earlier and how. Information such as the identification of the child at risk, work with the family, subsequent removal and placement of the child in foster care is obtained through secondary analysis of data from case files provided by the child social protection agency. The most frequently represented causes were identified through the research investigation and subsequently recommendations were made on how to prevent these situations.
