Nursing care of a patient with the upper GI tract bleeding

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se zabývá pacientem s krvácením do horní části gastrointestinálního traktu. Teoretická část se člení na informace o krvácení, jaké bude pacient vykazovat příznaky, stanovení prognózy, zajištění pacienta s možností léčby. Další pasáž teoretické části je zaměřena na ošetřovatelskou péči na jednotce intenzivní péče spojenou s péči o krvácejícího pacienta, především intervence, které takový pacient bude vyžadovat. Pro diplomovou práci byl stanoven jeden hlavní cíl, kterým byly prozkoumány faktory ovlivňující informovanost sester v této oblasti. Následně dílčí cíl měl za úkol prozkoumat praktiky na odděleních respondentů. Na základě cílů, byly stanoveny hypotézy. Šetření bylo postaveno na kvantitativním výzkumu, tedy za pomocí dotazníku vlastní tvorby, které byly distribuovány na oddělení se zaměřením na intenzivní péči. Následuje zpracování dat a jejich analýza. Závěrečná část diplomové práce je věnována diskuzi o zjištěných informacích vyplývajících z dotazníkového šetření. Výstupem práce je vypracovaný návrh ošetřovatelského postupu, jak pečovat o Sengstakenovu sondu a pacienta s se zavedenou sondou.

Abstract:

The diploma thesis deals with the nursing care of a patient with upper GI tract bleeding. The theoretical part is divided into chapters dealing with bleeding, pa-tients' symptoms, determining prognosis, and securing a patient with treatment op-tions. The following theoretical part describes nursing care associated with the care of a bleeding patient, especially an intervention, which a patient will require. The main goal established for the diploma thesis is the exploration of all the factors af-fecting the awareness of nurses in this area. Subsequent objectives were to examine the respondents‘ practices in their units. Based on the targets, hypotheses were es-tablished. An investigation was built on quantitative research, using questionaries of own production, which were then distributed on intensive care units. This part is followed by data processing and subsequent data analysis. The diploma thesis final part is devoted to the discussion of the information obtained from the questionnaire survey. The diploma thesis output is a proposal of a nursing plan manual describing the Sengstaken probe care same as patient care with the Sengstaken probe.
