Anglicisms and their use in common communication of adults

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce se zabývá výskytem a užíváním přejímek z angličtiny v běžné komunikaci dospělých. Práce je rozdělena na část teoretickou a část praktickou. Teoretická část přibližuje slovní zásobu a způsoby jejího rozšiřování. Dále je zde popsána problematika anglicismů a jejich formální adaptace. V praktické části se nachází vyhodnocení výsledků dotazníkového šetření, kterého se zúčastnili respondenti starší 18 let. Cílem dotazníku je zjistit míru znalosti a užívání anglicismů, schopnost uvádět jejich význam a preferenci jak vybraných lexikálních jednotek, tak v případě přejímek i jejich forem.

Abstract:

The bachelor thesis deals with the occurrence and use of takeovers from English in the common communication of adults. The thesis is divided into a theoretical part and a practical part. The theoretical part is focused on the vocabulary and ways of expanding it. Furthermore the issue of anglicisms and their formal adaptation is described there. In the practical part, there is an evaluation of the questionnaire survey results, in which respondents over 18 years old took a part. The aim of the questionnaire is to determine the degree of knowledge and use of anglicisms, the ability to state their meaning and preference of the selected lexical units and, in the case of takeovers, their forms.
