Empathy and apathy in extremesituation
Abstract:
Viktor Emil Frankl v knize A přesto říci životu ano popisuje zvláštní lhostejnost, apatii a letargii, která se zmocnila většiny vězňů koncentračního tábora. Ani po osvobození z tábora nebyli vězni schopni se radovat. Předmětem práce je právě tato nečekaná reakce člověka na mezní životní situaci. Apatie je podrobena filosofickému zkoumání, především fenomenologickou metodou.
Abstract:
Viktor Emil Frankl in the book trotzdem Ja zum Leben sagen (Yes to Life in Spite of Everything, in English edition also known as Man´s Search for Meaning) describes the special kind of indifference, apathy and lethargy that has seized most of the concentration camp prisoners.
