Abstract:

Tato práce se zabývá etickými aspekty designu služeb ve veřejné správě. Jejím cílem je tyto aspekty identifikovat a popsat. První část obsahuje přehled literatury relevantní k tomuto tématu a shrnuje etické aspekty designu služeb tak, jak byly popsány jinými autory. V druhé části je čtenáři prezentována případová studie, která představuje spolupráci městské části Brno-střed a Kabinetu informačních studií a knihovnictví Masarykovy university na redesignu služby, jež umožňuje restauratérům žádat o povolení restaurační zahrádky. Závěry z obou těchto části jsou použity jako základ pro kvalitativní výzkum s designéry služeb ze zahraničí, provedený formou rozhovorů. V poslední části jsou prezentovány výsledky tohoto výzkumu, jehož cílem bylo identifikovat etické aspekty designu služeb ve veřejné správě, vztah těchto aspektů a komunikace, omezení, kterým designéři čelí v průběhu designového procesu, a srovnání soukromého a veřejného sektoru v rámci etických aspektů designu.

Abstract:

The goal of this thesis is to identify the ethical aspects of service design in government. Firstly, it reviews literature relevant to this topic and sums up ethical aspects of this field as presented by other authors. Then, a service design case study is presented to the reader, showing the cooperation of Brno’s city council with the Division of Information and Library Studies of Faculty of Arts, Masaryk University, on redesigning a service which allows restaurant owners to apply for a restaurant patio permit. Finally, findings from these two parts are joined and used as a basis for qualitative research in the form of interviews with service designers from various countries. The research identifies the ethical aspects of service design in government, the relationship of communication and these aspects, the limitations the designers face, and a comparison of the private and public sector when it comes to ethics in service design.
