Education and Diversity : An outline of definitions mostly frequented in the context of education in diversity.

Abstract:

Tato diplomová práce se zabývá vymezením základního teoretického rámce výchovy v diverzitě. Mezi hlavní pojmy, které doprovázejí problematiku a de facto ji vymezují jsou: kultura, etnikum a etnicita, multikulturalismus a multikulturalita, multikulturní, interkulturní a transkulturní přístup ve výchově a vzdělávání. Práce se skládá z části teoretické a praktické. Teoretická část obsahuje vymezení pojmu výchova a výchova v diverzitě, které jsou klíčové pro formování jedince. Další kapitoly se již věnují zbývajícím pojmům kultura, etnikum a etnicita, multikulturalismus a multikulturalita, multikulturní, interkulturní a transkulturní přístup ve výchově a vzdělávání z pohledu kulturní a sociální antropologie, kulturologie, sociologie a teoretické pedagogiky. Empirická část je soustředěna na metodu DESK RESEARCH a obsahovou analýzu publikací a materiálů, které slouží pedagogům při výchově v diverzitě. Tato práce by měla podat obraz o pestrosti a dostupnosti literatury pro pedagogy v České republice v rámci tématu tzv. multikulturní výchovy a definicích nejčastěji užívaných termínů.

Abstract:

This diploma thesis deals with a specification of essential theoretic frame of education in diversity. The main definitions that are conected with followed problems are culture, etnicity, multiculturalism and multiculturality, multicultural, intercultural and transcultural approach in education. This work is selected into the two parts: theoretical and empirical. The theoretical part contains the definitions of education and education in diversity that are key in the process of formation of personality. Next chapters deal with rest of the definitions it means with definition of culture and etnicity, multiculturalism and multiculturality, multicultural, intercultural and transcultural approach in education from the point of view of cultural and social anthropology, culturology, sociology and theoretical pedagogy. The empirical part focuses on method of DESK RESEARCH and contents analysis of publications and materials aimed to the pedagogical staff in education in diversity. This diploma work tries to offer a picture about thematic literature available in Czech Republic connected with so called Multicultural Education aimed to the pedagogical staff and the most frequently used definitions of basics terms.
