A view of a person diagnosed with a mental illness

Abstract:

Cílem práce je zodpovědět výzkumnou otázku: "Jak klasifikace duševního onemocnění ovlivňuje spolupráci se sociálními službami, respektive jak se klasifikační systémy duševních nemocí (a jejich používání) proměňují v kontextu reformy psychiatrické péče?" Práce se zabývá pohledem na člověka s duševním onemocněním a spoluprací člověka s duševním onemocněním se dvěma rozdílnými sociálními službami a přístupem těchto sociálních služeb k těmto osobám. Zároveň se zabývá sledováním toho, jaké dopady má reforma psychiatrické péče na používání klasifikací, stigmatizace či případné proměny k přístupu k lidem s duševním onemocněním. V rámci teoretických východisek je vymezen jazyk, stigmatizace, etiketizace, organizační kultura, historický diskurz a samotná sociální práce. Práce dále obsahuje metodologickou část a praktickou část. Výzkum byl proveden ve dvou sociálních službách prostřednictvím polostrukturovaných rozhovorů se sociálními pracovníky. Získané informace byly zpracovány prostřednictvím klasického a in vivo kodování. V interpretaci dat a v závěru práce jsou představeny zjištěné poznatky z provedeného výzkumu.

Abstract:

The aim of the thesis is to answer the research question: "How does the classification of mental illness affect cooperation with social services, or rather how are mental illness classification systems (and their use) transformed in the context of psychiatric care reform?" The thesis deals with the view of a person with a mental illness and the cooperation of a person with a mental illness with two different social services and the approach of these social services to these persons. At the same time, it deals with monitoring the effects of the reform of psychiatric care on the use of classifications, stigmatization or possible changes in the approach to people with mental illness. Language, stigmatization, labeling, organizational culture, historical discourse and social work itself are defined within the framework of the theoretical starting points. The work also contains a methodological part and a practical part. The research was conducted in two social services through semi-structured interviews with social workers. The information obtained was processed through classical and in vivo coding. In the interpretation of the data and in the conclusion of the work, the findings from the research are presented.
