Práce "Plechový bubínek - postava dítěte jako symbol revoluce, revolty a války ve filmu" zkoumá vývoj dětské postavy ve filmu. Později ve snímcích týkajících se války a revoluce. (Jdi a dívej se, Bílá stuha, Alenka v Říši divů, Trojka z mravů, Ať žije republika, atd?) Theses "The Tin Drum - the character of a child as a symbol of revolution, rebellion and war in the film" explores development of a child's character in film.
