The Creation as Theme in the Shabbat Liturgy

Abstract:

Tématem této diplomové práce je motiv stvoření v šabatové synagogální liturgii. Podkladem pro její zpracování se stala především látka siduru (a v menší míře také machzoru) aškenázského ritu. Výklad byl zaměřen zejména na rozbor liturgických oddílů Psukej de-zimra, Birchot kri?at Šema, Kri?at Šema, Kri?at ha-Tora, Šemone Esre a Kabalat Šabat. Z široké škály možností, jakým způsobem toto téma možno uchopit, byla zvolena metoda převážně deskriptivní. Ačkoliv bylo částečně poukázáno také na historický vývoj těchto vybraných liturgických částí, celý výklad je vychází ze současné podoby synagogální litrugie prostředkované moderními sidurim. Prostřednictvím textů Tanachu, a zejména tradičních komentářů tzv. ?ortodoxního judaismu?, bylo poukázáno nejen na pozici, kterou motiv stvoření zaujímá v liturgii šabatu, ale částečně také v synagogální bohoslužebné praxi obecně. První část práce tvoří krátký exkurz, stručně nastiňující vybraná témata tanachického pojetí stvoření světa a významu Šabatu / ?sedmého dne?. V oddílech věnovaných samotné synagogální liturgii bylo poukázáno na vztah motivu stvoření a liturgie skrze koncept kavana, a současně s tím také na ?úlohu?, kterou liturgie (či soukromá modlitební praxe) v náboženském životě judaismu zastává. Zbývající části práce jsou již věnovány rozboru konkrétních liturgických částí a jejich tradičních interpretací v souvislosti s motivem stvoření.

Abstract:

The leitmotive of Master thesis is motive of creation in Shabbath synagogal liturgy. The Siddur is the basis for its processing. I use the machzor of Ashkenazi ritus to a lesser proportion. The interpretation is mainly focused on analysis of liturgical sections of Pesukei de-zimrah, Birkhot kri?at Shema, Kri?at Shema; Kri?at ha-Tora; Shemoneh Esreh; Kabbalat Shabbat. From the wide range of possibilities how to embrace this subject was predominantly chosen descriptive method. Althought it was partly refered to historical developement of selected parts of the ritual, the whole interpretation is based on the current form of synagogal liturgy which is mediated by modern siddurim. By means of Tanakh (and escpecially by traditional comments so called Orthodox Judaism) was pointed out not only the position which motive of creation contains in Shabbatic liturgy but partly in synagogical worship in general, too. The first part of thesis is made by short excursus which briefly oulines the creation of the world and the sense of Shabbat - ?the 7th day?, in Tanakh. In sections devoted to synagogal liturgy itself was suggested the relationship between motive of creation and liturgy by the concept of kavvanah and simultaneously the role which the liturgy (or private prayer practise) holds in the religious life of Judaism. The remaining parts are focused on analysis of particular liturgic sections and its traditional interpretations with the context of motive of creation.
