Efficiency of the stimulation process in relation to the employee performance

Abstract:

Téma této bakalářské práce se nazývá „Efektivita stimulačních procesů ve vztahu k výkonu zaměstnanců“, přičemž toto téma je aktuální mj. z důvodu současného převisu poptávky po práci nad její nabídkou a z toho plynoucí potřeby efektivně pracovat s již dostupnými lidskými zdroji. Cílem této práce je poté nejprve shrnout stávající teoretické poznatky v oblasti stimulace a motivace k pracovnímu výkonu a následně zkoumat efektivitu jednotlivých stimulačních metod na vnitřní motivaci pracovníků v konkrétní organizaci. Praktickým výstupem práce jsou závěry a doporučení použitelná pro konkrétní zkoumanou organizaci, která mají potenciál zvýšit efektivitu práce s lidskými zdroji v této organizaci. Práce zkoumá zejména různé aspekty stimulace a motivace k pracovnímu výkonu, rozebírá stávající teorie (např. Maslowova či Herzbergova teorie), představuje různé možné metody odměňování a jejich efektivitu v kontextu zmíněných teorií. V praktické části této práce poté byla využita metoda písemných anonymních dotazníků se škálovými a diskrétními odpověďmi, které byly vyplněny zaměstnanci zkoumané organizace. Analytickou metodou byly z těchto dotazníků vyvozeny závěry pro danou organizaci. Nejdůležitějším závěrem této práce je poznání, že pro efektivní stimulaci pracovního výkonu zaměstnanců je potřeba znát motivační faktory každého jednotlivého zaměstnance, bylo ověřeno fungování Maslowovy hierarchie potřeb v praxi a byl zjištěn značný vliv „měkkých“ faktorů na motivaci pracovníků – zejména atmosféry spravedlnosti ve vztazích mezi zaměstnanci.

Abstract:

The topic of this bachelor´s thesis is called „Efficiency of the stimulation process in relation to the employee performance“. This topic is very relevant nowadays i.a. due to the current excess of demand for work over the supply of work, which leads to the need to work effectively with the already available human resources. The goal of this thesis is to summarize theoretical knowledge in the area of stimulation and motivation to work performance and subsequently to examine the effectiveness of individual stimulation methods on the inner motivation of employees in a particular enterprise. The practical outcomes of this thesis are the conclusions and recommendations usable in the particular enterprise, which have the potential to increase the effectiveness of working with human resources in this particular enterprise. The thesis i.a. studies various aspects of stimulation and motivation for work performance, analyses existing theories (such as. Maslow´s or Herzberg´s theories), summarizes various possible methods of remuneration and effectiveness of these methods in the context of the above mentioned theories. The practical part of the thesis makes use of the method of written questionnaires with scaled and discrete answers, which have been filled in by the employees of the examined enterprise. These questionnaires have been analyzed and conclusions for the particular enterprise have been drawn therefrom. The most important conclusions of this thesis are among others the knowledge, that for the effective stimulation of employees´ work performance it is necessary to know the motivation factors of each employee, the verification of the working of Maslow´s hierarchy of needs in practice and discovery of the substantial influence of “soft” factors on the motivation of employees – e.g. the atmosphere of justice and fairness in the relationships among the employees.
