The Status of Orphaned Girls and Women in the Village of Křenovice in the First Half of the Eighteenth Century

Anotace:

Tato práce se zabývá studiem postavení osiřelých dívek a žen v moravské vesnici Křenovice mezi léty 1720 a 1750. Jako hlavní pramen sloužily soupisy sirotků panství Slavkov. Cílem práce je poznat individuální osudy poddaných dívek a žen a srovnat učiněné závěry s dosavadní literaturou.

Abstract:

This thesis deals with the status of orphaned girls and women in the Moravian village of Křenovice between 1720 and 1750. The main sources of this thesis were the orphan registers of the Slavkov estate. The thesis aims at finding out more about the individual lives of peasant girls and women. Then the conclusions of this thesis and works of other historians are compared.
