Abstract:

Bakalářská práce se zabývá procedurou Spitzenkandidaten a jejím vlivem na volbu vrcholných kandidátů evropských politických stran. Nejednoznačná definice vztahu nominace předsedy Komise a evropských voleb vedla ke vzniku politického precedentu, který se nyní používá v běžné praxi. Cílem práce je analýza procesu volby vrcholných kandidátů evropských politických stran. V centru sledování jsou jednotlivé politické strany jako aktéři, kteří nominují kandidáta na post předsedy Komise. V prvním případě zanalyzujeme proces volby vrcholných kandidátů před volbami roku 2014. Následně zhodnotíme postup stran před volbami v roce 2019. Výsledky analýzy podávají jasnou představu o tom, jakým způsobem jednotlivé evropské politické strany volí své vrcholné kandidáty a jakou roli v tomto procesu hraje procedura Spitzenkadidaten.

Abstract:

The bachelor thesis describes the Spitzenkandidaten procedure and its influence on the choice of top candidates of European political parties. The ambiguous definition of the nomination of the President of the Commission and the European elections has led to the emergence of a political precedent that is now used in common practice. The aim of the thesis is to analyse the process of election of top candidates of European political parties. The thesis is engaged in the reflection of individual political parties as actors who nominate a candidate for President of the Commission. In the first case, we will analyse the election process of the top candidates before the 2014 elections and then we will review the elections before the 2019 elections. The outcomes of the analysis provide a clear understanding of the process of how individual European political parties choose their top candidates and what role Spitzenkadidaten plays in this process.
