Availability of retail services for residents of small municipalities

Abstract:

Diplomová práce je zaměřena na problematiku služeb maloobchodu vybraných malých obcí. Cílem práce je zhodnocení dostupnosti služeb maloobchodu obyvatel ve městě Černošín a jeho místních částí. V rámci práce se také zkoumá nákupní chování obyvatel vybrané lokality a identifikují se faktory, které ovlivňují fungování prodejen v této malé obci. Dále se analyzují opatření, která maloobchodní prodejny v malé obci využívají k udržení své existence. V první kapitole jsou na základě odborných publikací uvedena teoretická východiska relevantní pro dané téma. Výzkumná část je realizovaná na základě dotazníkové šetření a rozhovorů s obyvateli obce Černošín, dále také rozhovorů s majitelkou a vedoucí jednotlivých prodejen. Rozhovory byly uskutečněny také se starostou a radním obce. Platnost stanovených hypotéz byla ověřena statistickým testováním. V závěru práce je uveden návrh na zlepšení dostupnosti maloobchodu v místních částích, kde nefunguje žádná prodejna. Uvedený návrh poskytuje zároveň podporu místním prodejnám.

Abstract:

Master's Thesis is focused on the issue of retail services in selected small municipalities. The aim of the work is to evaluate the availability of retail services for residents in the city of Černošín and its local parts. The work also examines the shopping behavior of the residents of the selected locality and identifies the factors that influence the functioning of stores in this small municipality. Next, the provision that retail stores in a small municipality use to maintain their existence are analysed. In the first chapter, on the basis of proffesional publications, theoretical starting poins relevant for the given topic are presented. The research part is carried out on the basis of a questionnaire survey and interviews with residents of the municipality of Černošín, as well as interviews with the owner and manager of individual stores. Interviews were also held with the mayor and councilor of the municipality. Validity determined was verified by statistical testing. At the end of the thesis, a proposal is given to improve the availability retail in local areas where no store is available. The stated proposal also provides support to local stores.
