Abstract:
The main subject of this master's thesis is The Makropulos Affair – the penultimate opera by the composer Leoš Janáček, which was created on the basis of the play of the same name by Karel Čapek. The core of the work is a comparison of the opera with the literary version, as both versions are largely different.
