Obsahom práce je modelovací jazyk UML a jeho aplikácia vo vývoji používateľského rozhrania. Prvá časť je zameraná na zoznámenie s diagramami používanými v UML a ich použitím. Práca pokračuje opisom niekoľkých softvérových nástrojov s uvedením oblasti ich využitia, nakoľko niektoré nástroje sú špecificky zamerané.
