Communication with parents at sudden death of child

Abstract:

Cílem mé bakalářské práce bylo nastínit problematiku komunikace s rodiči, kterým náhle zemřelo dítě a upozornit na možná úskalí, která s sebou tato náročná životní situace přináší. Teoretická část práce se zabývá vymezením pojmů smrt, náhlá smrt, smrt dítěte a také obsahuje pojetí smrti dětmi během jejich vývoje. Další část práce popisuje zásady sdělování nepříznivých informací z pohledu lékařského, také se věnuji reakcím pozůstalých na úmrtí, jaké překážky v komunikaci se vyskytují v těchto situacích ze strany rodiny a blízkých osob, jaké jsou zažité mýty o truchlení. Důležitou součástí je část popisující truchlení, jak nekomplikované tak i komplikované a příznaky nezpracovaného zármutku. V praktické části jsou popsány dvě kasuistiky, které zachycují příběhy žen, které vyhledaly psychologickou pomoc v krizi po ztrátě dítěte. Cílem bylo zjistit, jakým způsobem následná komunikace s pozůstalými rodiči, v těchto případech psychologická pomoc, probíhá, jak události zasáhla rodinu, jaké byly reakce jejich jednotlivých členů. Práce může posloužit především jako zdroj informací a pomůcka pro rodiče a jejich rodiny zasažené touto událostí.

Abstract:

The object of my bachelordom work was to outline the problems of communication with parents whose child suddenly died and to point out possible obstacles, that this demanding life situation brings with it. The theoretical part of the work deals with the specification of terms ? death, a sudden death, a child?s death and it also contains children?s approach to death in the course of their development. Another part of the work describes the principles of breaking unfavourable pieces of in formation from doctor?s view, j also devote to reactions of survivors to death, what obstacles in communication occur from the side of the family and close persons in these situations, what the experienced mourning mythsarelike. An important component is the part describing the mourning, both uncomplicated and complicated ones and symptoms of unprocessed mourning. In the practical part, there is a description of two cases depicting the stories of women who looked for a psychological help in the crisis after the child?s loss. The object was to find out, in which way the resulting communication with the survived parents, it means, in these cases the psychological help goes off, which way the event affected the family, what the reactions of their individual members were like ? above all, the work can serve as an information source and an aid for parents and their families affected with this event.
