Portuguese Inspiration of Victor Hugo, Inez de Castro

Anotace:

Práce se snaží čtenáři přiblížit jednu z méně známých divadelních her francouzského spisovatele Victora Huga, Inez de Castro.Hugo ji napsal ve svých šestnácti letech a nazval ji melodramatem. Vlivem cenzury však byla hra zakázána a neuvedena. První část práce popisuje význam Inez de Castro jako historické postavy ve čtrnáctém století a vznik literární tradice inspirované legendou o její smrti. Druhá část práce se detailně zabívá samotným melodramatem a na základě jeho srovnání s divadelní hrou Castro portugalského spisovatele šestnáctého století Antonia Ferreiry ukazuje hlavní rysy počáteční dramatické tvorby Victora Huga.

Abstract:

The work is about one of Hugo's earliest plays, melodrame Inez de Castro. Written in 1818, the play has never been performed due to the censorship that was quite severe at the beginning of the nineteenth century. The first part of the work wants to put the reader in contact with the historic caracter of Inez de Castro and the tradition that this theme has in french and portuguese literature. The second part is based on the analyse of the play and its comparation with the play, Castro of Antonio Ferreira, a potuguese writer of the sixteenth century. This comparation shows the main characters of the french and the portuguese traditions of the theme of Inez de Castro.
