Possibilities of Using Interpretation of Epic Poetry at Elementary School

Abstract:

Práce se zabývá možnostmi didaktické interpretace české epické a lyrickoepické poezie v literární výchově. Jádrem teoretické části jsou kapitoly, které podávají nástin teoreticko-metodologických východisek interpretace umělecké literatury a didaktické transformace obsahu v komunikačně pojaté literární výchově. Empirická část disertace je členěna podle kvalitativně-kvantitativní a kvalitativní fáze výzkumného šetření. Kvalitativně-kvantitativní část se zakládá na analýze obsahu vybraných školních čítanek, kvalitativní fáze zahrnuje výzkum (přímé pozorování a záznamy) reálných výukových situací: (1) materiálem obsahové analýzy jsou čítankové soubory deseti nakladatelských edic určených pro výuku žáků v šestém až devátém ročníku ZŠ (celkem čtyřicet čítanek určených pro žáky druhého stupně ZŠ), (2) výzkum výuky je průběžně dokumentován konkrétním materiálem z celého datového korpusu získaného prostřednictvím přímého pozorování a záznamů 31 vyučovacích hodin na čtyřech základních školách z Ústeckého a Karlovarského kraje.

Abstract:

The presented doctoral thesis deals with the problems of epic poetry. It maps possibilities of didactic interpretation in environment of elementary education. The thesis consists of theoretical and empirical areas. Theoretical analysis provides an explanation of important terms related to the subject of this work (didactic interpretation, epic poetry, literary education, communication concept of literary education). The objective of the theoretical part is to answer questions about the use of constructivist theories in the processes of literary communication and reception of literary artistic text. The aim of this part builds on current methodological theory, especially on the communication concept of literary education. The empirical part of the presented thesis consists of two basic areas. The first part includes qualitative and quantitative content analyzes of ten reader book collections. The aim of these analyzes is to determine genres and examples of epic poems in selected reader book collections. The second area of the empirical part is based on the qualitative research of the literary education at the upper stage of elementary schools in Ústí nad Labem and Karlovy Vary region. It brings information about real education situations at selected schools. At the conclusion we consider effects of the research on educational practice and theory.
