The ECB Monetary Policy Analysis

Abstract:

Diplomová práce "Měnová politika Evropské centrální banky" se zabývá vlivem měnové politiky Evropské centrální banky na hlavní makroekonomické ukazatele Eurozóny. V práci se zkoumá závislost mezi změnami refinanční sazby a hlavních makroekonomických ukazatelů v období 1999 až 2012 na příkladu České republiky, Německa, Španělska, Itálie a Řecka. Velká pozornost se věnuje změnám v průběhu globální finanční krize. Cílem této práce je určit míru vlivu měnové politiky ECB na území České republiky s ohledem na národní měnu a země Evropské unie v době krize 2008 až 2013. V první části práce je popsáno formování měnové politiky od vzniku Evropské měnové a hospodářské unie. Druhá část se zaměřuje na metody měnové politiky a jejich vliv na ekonomiku Eurozóny. Závěrečná kapitola analyzuje nerovnoměrný dopad měnové politiky na výše uvedené země Eurozóny pomocí ekonometrického modelu VAR a analýzu měnové politiky ECB v letech 1999 až 2013.

Abstract:

Diploma Thesis “Financial monetary policy of the European Central Bank” includes research of the impact of the financial monetary policy of the European Central Bank on the essential macroeconomic figures of the European Union. This project provides consideration on the interdependence between interest rate changes and the basic macro-economic figures for the period the year of 1999 and the year of 2012 based on the example of the Czech Republic, Germany, Spain, Italy and Greece. The critical attention has been addressed to the modifications taken place during the global financial crisis. The first chapter of the project is assigned to contemplation of the credit and monetary policy foundation from the initiation moment of the European Monetary and Economic Union. The Second Chapter considers the methods of the financial monetary policy and its impact on the European Union economy. The third chapter implicates an analysis of the financial monetary policy unbalanced consequences on the examples of the above-listed countries of the European Union applying VAR econometric model. Further the analysis of the European Central Bank financial monetary policy has been conducted for the period between 1999 and 2013.
