The evaluation of accounting information in corporate governance

Abstract:

This bachalor thesis discusses the evaluation of accounting information in business management. The first chapter deals with the theoretical knowledge of accounting information and accounting information system with t he use of corporate governance. This section explains the characteristics of accounting information system, its internal and external users and creating accounting information, which includes financial statements such as balance sheet, profit and loss and cash flow. Consequently, in this chapter discussed the use of accounting information using the indicators of liquidity, indebtedness, activity and profitability. The second chapter is focused on the information system of Levické mliekarne, Inc. This section aims to become familiar with the company, its market position and the evaluation of accounting documents. The company is actively using the SAP information system, in which the processed individual system modules. In addition to modules Financial Accounting, Controlling and Investment Accounting chapter is also focused on the cycles of the accounting receipts. The third chapter includes assessing the accounting uses of accounting information obtained through financial analysis of periods from 2011 to 2013. This section was performed by vertical and horizontal analysis of the balance sheet, income statement, cash flow and various ratios. This chapter also contains proposals for solutions to improve the situation in the company.

Abstract:

Táto bakalárska práca pojednáva o zhodnotení účtovných informácií v riadení podniku. Prvá kapitola sa zaoberá teoretickými znalosťami z oblasti účtovných informácií a účtovného informačného systému s využitím v oblasti riadenia podniku. Táto časť objasňuje charakteristiku účtovného informačného systému, jeho interných a externých používateľov a tvorbu účtovných informácií, čo zahŕňa účtovné výkazy ako je súvaha, výkaz ziskov a strát a cash flow. Následne je v tejto kapitole rozobraté aj využitie účtovných informácií s použitím ukazovateľov likvidity, zadlženosti, aktivity a rentability. Druhá kapitola je orientovaná na informačný systém spoločnosti Levické mliekarne, a. s.. Cieľom tejto časti je oboznámenie sa so spoločnosťou, jej postavením na trhu a vyhodnotením jej účtovných podkladov. Spoločnosť aktívne využíva informačný systém SAP, v ktorom boli spracované jednotlivé systémové moduly. Okrem modulov Finančné účtovníctvo, Kontroling a Investičné účtovníctvo sa kapitola orientuje aj na kolobeh účtovných dokladov. Tretia kapitola obsahuje zhodnotenie účtovného využitia získaných účtovných informácií formou finančnej analýzy z rokov 2011 až 2013. V tejto časti bola vykonaná vertikálna a horizontálna analýza súvahy, výkazu ziskov a strát, cash flow a rôznych pomerových ukazovateľov. Táto kapitola obsahuje aj návrhy riešení na zlepšenie situácie v podniku.
