Institutional structure of regulation and supervision in European Union

Abstract:

Tato práce se zabývá institucionálním uspořádáním regulace a dohledu v Evropské unii. První část obsahuje základní vymezení pojmů regulace, dohledu a cílů dohledu. Dále jsou zde rozebrány základní modely uspořádání regulace a dohledu včetně zhodnocení jejich silných a slabých stránek. Druhá část obsahuje vývoj dohledu v Evropské unii od Lamfalussyho procesu po zprávu Jacquese de Larosiéra a zahájení činnosti Evropského systému finanční stability. Třetí část se zabývá novým uspořádáním dohledu v Evropské unii v podobě bankovní unie a analyzuje příčiny tohoto vývoje.

Abstract:

This thesis deals with the institutional structure of regulation and supervision in the European Union. The first part contains general classification of regulation, supervision and aims of supervision. Further in this part there are analyzed different models of institutional structure of financial supervision with theirs pros and cons. The second part is focused on supervision in European Union from the Lamfalussy mechanism to Jacques de Larosiére report and establishment of European System of Financial Supervision. The third part deals with new structure of financial supervision in European Union as the banking union and analyses causes of this progression.
