Abstract:

Hlavním cílem této magisterské diplomové práce je vytvoření překladu vybraných částí románu „Geograf globus propil“ současného ruského spisovatele Alexeje Ivanova. Práce je rozdělena na teoretickou a praktickou část. Teoretická část se věnuje teorii uměleckého překladu, biografii a tvorbě A. Ivanova. Kromě toho také představuje samotný román. Praktická část se skládá ze samotného překladu a komentáře k vybraným překladatelským okruhům, zaměřujeme se např. na autorský styl, překladové transformace, překlad vlastních jmen, frazeologismů aj. V závěru je uveden ruský originál překládaných textů.

Abstract:

The main aim of this diploma thesis is a creation of selected parts of the novel "Geograf globus propil" (The Geographer Drank His Globe Away) by a contemporary Russian writer Aleksei Ivanov. The thesis is divided into two parts – a theoretical one and a practical one. The theoretical part is focused on a theory of translation and Aleksei Ivanov´s life and literature works. Moreover, a description and an analysis of the book are also included. The practical part contains the translation of the selected sections of the book and the analysis of the selected translation problems, including the author´s style, translation transformations, translation of proper names, idioms etc. At the end of the thesis the Russian original texts are included.
