Alteration of the rock from the Boskovice furrow - a product of the fossil hydrothermal system

Abstract:

Hlavní náplní této diplomové práce bylo studium alterovaných hornin v jižní části boskovické brázdy v okolí Budkovic. Nejdříve se diplomová práce zaměřila na nalezení nových výchozů vulkanických hornin a později pak na popsání primárního charakteru hornin a stupně jejich alterace. Byla použita celá škála metod od klasické polarizační mikroskopie, elektronové mikrosondy, katodoluminiscence, fluorescence a až po studium fluidních inkluzí. Bylo zjištěno, že žilné horniny v okolí Budkovic, jsou jak makroskopicky, tak mikroskopicky velmi podobné, což ukazuje na společnou genezi. Toto potvrdilo i studium luminiscence, kdy byla zjištěna pouze jedna generace kalcitu ve všech studovaných horninách. Další data přineslo studium fluidních inkluzí, které ukázalo, že termální fluidní roztoky měly přibližně stejnou teplotu, chemické složení a salinitu. Hydrotermální systém je pravděpodobně pozdně variský, lokální, vázaný na alterované magmatické žíly a pravděpodobně měl spojitost s aktivním vulkanismusmem. Žilná hornina je složena z primárního minerálu flogopitu, Ti bohatého magnetitu a rutilu, a dále pak ze sekundárního albitu, kalcitu a penninu. Hornina odpovídá bazaltickému trachyandezitu až trachyandezitu.

Abstract:

The main aim of the Master’s thesis was a research of alteration rocks in northern part of the Boskovice Furrow in Budkovice surroundings. At first, the Master’s thesis focused on the finding of new outcrops of volcanic rocks and than on the description of primary character of rocks and degree of their alteration. A whole variety of methods was employed, from classical polarscreen microscopy, elektron microsonde, cathodoluminisce and fluorescence, up to the study of fluid inclusions. It was found out that vein rocks in Budkovice surroundings are macroscopically as well as microscopically very alike, which illustrates their common genesis. It was confirmed by the study of luminiscence, too, when only one generation of calcite was located in all the examined rocks. The research of fluid inclusions brought further data, which showed that thermal fluid dilutions had approximately same temperature, chemist and salinity. The hydrothermal system is probably late variscan and local, bound to alterated magnetic veins, and is likely to had been connected to active volcanism. Vein rock is compound of primary phlogopite, Mg rich magnetite and rutile, and furthermore of secondary albite, calcite and pennine. The rock corresponds to basaltic trachyandesite, to trachyandezit.
