The Structure of Household Final Consumption Expenditure in Selected EU Countries

Abstract:

Šilhanová, L. Struktura spotřebních výdajů domácností ve vybraných zemích EU. Diplomová práce. Brno: Mendelova univerzita v Brně, 2020. Diplomová práce se zabývá strukturou spotřebních výdajů domácností ve státech Visegrádské skupiny. Výdaje na konečnou spotřebu domácností jsou sledovány v rámci 12 oddílů klasifikace COICOP. V diplomové práci jsou zjištěny odlišnosti států Visegrádské skupiny od ostatních států Evropské unie, následně je provedena komparace struktur spotřebních výdajů napříč státy Visegrádské skupiny a jsou identifikovány hlavní tendence vývoje ve struktuře spotřebních výdajů v období 1995 až 2018. Dále je řešena otázka, do jaké míry objemy výdajů na potraviny a nealkoholické nápoje, bydlení a dopravu reagují na změny hrubého domácího produktu. Diplomová práce využívá shlukovou analýzu, Gatevův koeficient nepodobnosti struktur, grafickou analýzu a regresní analýzu časových řad.

Šilhanová, L. The Structure of Household Final Consumption Expenditure in Selected EU Countries. Diploma thesis. Brno: Mendel University, 2020. This diploma thesis focuses on the structure of household final consumption expenditure in the Visegrad Group countries. Final consumption expenditures are classified within 12 categories according to the COICOP. The diploma thesis finds the differences between the Visegrad Group countries and other EU countries, then compares the consumption expenditure structures across the Visegrad Group states and identifies the main trends in the structure of consumer spending in the period from 1995 to 2018. The thesis also deals with the question how expenditures on food and non-alcoholic beverages, housing and transport react to the changes in gross domestic product. Cluster analysis, Gatev’s coefficient of dissimilarity of structures, graphical analysis and time series regression are used in the thesis.
