Construction of identity of persons with learning disabilities in transition to adulthood

Abstract:

Cílem předkládané práce je zodpovědět otázku :Jak lze z hlediska narativního přístupu popsat konstrukci identity žáků s mentálním handicapem, kteří v období přechodu do dospělosti navštěvují vybranou ZŠ speciální, aktéry jejich životní situace? Předkládaná práce staví na třech základních předpokladech. Tyto předpoklady jsou následující. Mentální handicap je konstrukt, Významnou součástí mentálního handicapu jsou jeho sociální aspekty, Konstrukce identity osoby s mentálním handicapem je do značné míry utvářena v procesu komunikace mezi aktéry životní situace dané osoby s mentálním handicapem. Výzkumná část je tvořena dvěma případovými studiemi konstrukce identity žáků s mentálním handicapem navštěvujících vybranou základní školu speciální, kteří se nacházejí v procesu přechodu do do dospělosti. zde jsou na základě polostrukturovaných rozhovorů jak se žákx samotnými, tak i d jedním z jejich rodičů a jejich třídními učitelkami identifikována témata a okolnosti, které jsou pro jednotlivé aktéry významné. Je využit narativně orientovaný výzkumný přístup. Práce přináší konceptualizaci subjektivního pohledu jednotlivých aktérů na dané téma, což vnímá jako jednu z potřebných podmínek pro prohloubení diskuse o integraci osob z této cílové skupiny a hledání adekvátních způsobů podpory, kterou jim může sociální práce nabídnout.

Abstract:

The aim of this work is to answer the question: How can in the terms of a narrative approach to describe the construction of identity of students with learning disabilities who are in transition to adulthood attend selected elementary school special actors in their lives? The present work is based on three basic assumptions. These assumptions are as follows. Mental handicap is a construct, an important part of mental handicap is its social aspects, construction of identity of the person with intellectual disabilities is largely shaped by the communication process between actors living situation of the person with intellectual disabilities. The experimental part consists of two case studies of identity construction of students with learning disabilities attending the selected primary special school, who are in the process of transition to adulthood. here are based on semi-structured interviews as the žákx themselves, so id one of their parents and classroom teachers identified issues and circumstances that are significant for individual actors. It is used narratively oriented research approach. This work brings conceptualization of the subjective view of the various actors on the topic, which is perceived as one of the necessary conditions for a deeper discussion on the integration of people from this target group and finding adequate ways of support that they can offer social work.
